About The Teacher:

I came to teaching as a second, but most rewarding career. I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA and have 15 years of experience in semiconductor electronics. One of my most exciting projects was designing a radiation-hardened analog integrated circuit for the Mars Lander and the International Space Station.  This is my 11th year of teaching in  FUSD.  I look forward to working with each one of you to make this your most successful year.

Class Mission:

To learn to enjoy the challenge of mathematics. To recognize that mathematics is not a science  that "stands alone", but rather our attempt to model and explain physical situations in the world around us.  To focus on shared discovery and problem-solving techniques that enable a life-long mathematical journey and good-decision making, not just answers to simple exercises.

"A pupil from whom nothing is ever demanded that he cannot do, never does all he can."

- John Stuart Mill
